Sheila teaches primarily vinyasa yoga. This simply means that we match movement to breath. Matching movement to our inhale and exhale sometimes serves to facilitate the movement but is also a means to strengthen the connection between our body and our mind. This has health benefits of its own. Sheila appreciates this same aspect of the reformer. Ideally, movement on the Pilates reformer is matched to the breath.
Over time, due to both client demand and what her own body needed in recovery, Sheila has come to spend the majority of her time teaching on the Pilates reformer machine. She works both with clients who are referred for various reasons and those who are simply looking to find a fabulous full-body workout!
